Jacqueline "Jackie" Harris, born in 1955 in San Antonio, TX, was a dedicated educator passionate about empowering students through education. She earned her degree from Sam Houston State and devoted her career to language arts and reading. Her legacy lives on through this scholarship, inspiring students to aim high and "Stay Focused" on their goals.

Our mission is to add value to the communities in which the scholarship is offered through helping young people better their lives by continuing their education beyond high school.
Through supporting their post secondary efforts, we hope to promote a sense of responsibility in these individuals to "Pay it Forward" for generations to come.

At Jacqueline Hall Harris Memorial Scholarship, we aim to empower students through education and community support. Our goal is to provide scholarships that help young individuals achieve their academic dreams and promote lifelong learning.

Since 2021, one male and one female high school student have been awarded the scholarship each year. Click the 'Past Recipients' button at the top of the page to see pictures and video from past scholarship ceremonies.
